Dr. Lalit Bhasin is a President of Society of Indian Law firms. He is the immediate past president of The Bar Association of India, having served as a veteran in the legal field for more than 60 years.

In addition, he chairs the Indian branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is the only Indian to get this honor from the International Bar Association, where he is an Honorary Life Member. At the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Task Force on Legal Services, he serves as chairman.

Amity University awarded him a Doctor of Laws (LL. D.) Honoris Causa in 2013.

In 2002, the Indian Prime Minister bestowed upon him the Plaque of Honour in recognition of his exceptional service to the Rule of Law.

Dr. Lalit Bhasin was given the National Law Day Award by the Indian President in 2007.

UK India Legal Partnership presented the Life Time Achievement Award on December 21, 2022, at the London House of Lords.

Legal Era presented him with the Glorious 61 Years in the Profession Award on April 15, 2023.

On May 7, 2023, Lloyd Law College granted him validation.

Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (APCAM) presented the Outstanding Arbitration Expert Award 2023 on May 6, 2023.

GD Goenka University, Gurgaon awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Honoris Causa on May 13, 2023, in recognition of an exceptional contribution to the legal profession.

Dr. Lalit Bhasin, an alumnus of Hindu College, received recognition for reaching 60 years of legal practice. ASSOCHAM Bestowed Lifetime Achievement Award in October 2023.
